Although it was one of the worst kept secrets all summer, Manchester United did eventually officially release their new home shirt even though it was months after the first images had been leaked. United will hope that the new shirt, not to dissimilar to the previous one, brings them a record 4th consecutive Premiership title along with success in Europe.

The new Manchester United home shirt for the 2009/10 season is predominately red with a black round neck collar and a black V leading from both shoulders down towards the centre of the torso. Manufacturers Nike place their white “tick” logo in the top right of the shirt inside the black V. The club badge is also situated inside the black V but is placed in the top left. Sponsors “AIG” place their familiar large white square logo across the centre of the shirt.
