During 2007/08, Manchester United reverted back to an all black away kit for the first time since 2003/05. The effort replaced the blue and white shirts worn in the previous seasons.

The shirt is predominately black with very faint vertical stripes in different black tones. A red pinstripe leads from either side of the round neck collar towards the underarm area. Manufacturers Nike place their white Nike tick logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the United club badge in red and yellow is in the top left of the shirt. Club sponsors AIG take up the majority of the centre of the shirt in a large white typeface.
